paperwork. ugh.
2006-03-22 | 11:20 p.m.

So I have this assignment for my clinical seminar. I have to take a bunch of assessment results and write an assessment report.

It's not particularly hard. But oh, sweet Jeebus, it's tedious.

Considering how much time real clinicians spend doing this sort of thing ... is it too late to consider another career path? Paperwork me no likey!

I thought I had written so much less than my classmates until I remembered that I always, always compose in single spacing. Once I double-space it, I'll be up to eight pages and I haven't even started on my summary, prognosis and recommendations. Gah!

Apparently in past years, clinical supervisors have commented that McGill students suck at report-writing. Hence all of this fun-ness. Ah well, I suppose it's necessary.

Evil paperwork! Eeeeeeeeeeeeevil!

Still. Getting to make shit up about this kid is fun. Since we never met the kid and didn't do the assessments ourselves, and since there's a lot of info missing from the notes we were given, we're allowed to do that.

I feel like I should make up something really silly. Maybe little Johnny curses like a sailor. Or sings the Spongebob theme constantly. Or threw marbles at the examiner's head throughout the entire assessment.

Me, bored? No, not at all.
