Unseasonable warmth.

There's just something about those first few really warm days of spring. They're glorious. Everywhere you go, windows are open, music is playing, and people are lingering on benches and patios and steps and patches of grass, soaking up the blissful feeling of sun on their skin, a feeling that it's all too easy to forget in midwinter.

I had to go out to Westmount today, to get a criminal record check done at the RCMP station. I walked back. Then I walked to school to do some scanning. Then I went to a local cafe and staked out a spot on the freshly-reopened patio to work on my paper. Then I came home and sat on my balcony for a while.

Glorious.

It's supposed to return to seasonably-lukewarm weather over the next couple of days. And I'm still bracing myself for the usual April snowfall.

But ... twenty-one degrees!
