My swallowing midterm was today.

(Okay, the course is actually called Deglutition and Dysphagia. But no one knows what that means, and besides, "swallowing" lends itself so much better to dirty jokes.)

I think it went okay. I may have bombed the first question, but it was only worth five points. The rest of it seemed pretty fine.

But, more importantly than how it went was this...

...it was my Last. Midterm. Ever.

(Unless I lose my mind and decide that a PhD sounds like fun... oh, save me from that fate...)

Now it's done, and I'm off for reading week.

A few days in the White Mountains (also the outlet malls, where I can shop tax-free, because New Hampshire is cool that way), and then back home for a few days.

I'm introducing the boyfriend to my parents.

Just as importantly (perhaps more importantly), I'm introducing him to my best friends.

I don't think he has any idea what he's getting into...
