It's done.

I have an internship.

I have an internship!

Acute care, maybe a bit of rehab, but that I don't know. I wanted some acute experience, so that's good. The hospital is understaffed, so I'll be sent off on my own pretty quickly. It'll be fast-paced, a lot of thinking on my feet, very little prep work. Stressful days, but evenings and weekends will be mine. Mine! Bwahahahaaaa!

Oh yeah, and I get to do lots of modified barium swallow assessments. I'll probably see a lot of tracheotomies, too. All the cool icky stuff. And lots of assessment. I like assessment. And I'll probably be doing rounds fairly often.

Ooooooooooooooooo.

I'm terrified. But really excited, too.

Not to mention relieved that I'm not going to get shuffled off to some preschool hearing aid clinic or some such thing. Not my area of interest.
